What is it

XL-ParseMails provides some functions to analyse emails (with .msg and .eml extensions). The interface is separated in four tabs:

Tab Description
Parse Headers Parse and extract fields from email headers and generate a table report (XLSX, HTML or TXT). You can select any field you want in the report, convert datetimes and add useful information about IP addresses (NSLookup, ISP, GeoIP).
Extract Extract any part of emails like headers, body or attachments.
Search Search for keyword or regex in any part of emails and extract results.
Gephi Generate required tables (nodes and edges) to produce a graph in Gephi, with email addresses (From, To) and/or servers (Received) involved in the communications.

See documentation for more details about these functions.

Version History

Version Comments
  • The Open when finished option in main interface was not working
  • Missing module for Encode in package
When I published the version 1.0, everything was looking good in my machine, but it seems that the packed version was not working outside of it. After some tests, I decided to rebuild it with the Win32 GUI (as my other tools). Damn it! I will do more test next time!
First release.
